Bryce is spectacular but if you look across the valley.......... It ain't to shabby either. This would be a pretty wonderful view just about anywhere. Go, See, Enjoy Dave
They used the terms easy to moderate to describe the hike. To someone used to a fairly flat hike, in the Central Valley of California, I wouldn't use the term easy. Not reading the signs very well I continued on past the 'easy' part. It gave me a good look at what hiking in Utah would be like for the next few days. All in all I faired pretty well. Go, See, Enjoy. Dave
After Ely, Nevada I went to Utah and the Bryce Canyon National Park area. There are a lot of things to see in the area besides Bryce. Kodachrome Basin is just a little south of Bryce and not well visited. I didn't see anyone else there while I drove around and hiked. Go, See, Enjoy. Dave
Don't know what these pins are used for but I like the contrast between them and the rusted metal siding. The side-light from a 6am sunrise adds a wonderful contrast to the corrugated metal. Go, See, Enjoy. Dave
After a beautiful sunset -- http://photoblog.eye2eyephotostudio.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/Nevada-Sunset-00209.jpg. The next morning I awoke to this. My vacation was starting out very well. Go, See. Enjoy. Dave
I just got back from vacation. One of the places I visited was the Nevada Northern Railway in Ely, Nevada. I got this photo just before they ran me off for being to close to the engine, like it was suddenly going to jump into gear and run me over. Go, See, Enjoy Dave
